A Case Report of the Ameloblastoma in The Mandible

Abstract
|
|
|
The author has observed a case of ameloblastoma which occurrs in the mandible of 16 year old man.
1. The patient has severe swelling on the right side of the mandible.
2. The patient has some disturbance of mastication and speech, but he has no pain and severe mobility of the lower right 2nd premolar, lst and 2nd molars.
3. The patient´s general condition is good and body temperature, pulse, blood pressure are normal.
4. The radio-paque shows egg-sized, well circumscribed poly-cystic thick trabeculated pattern in the right mandible region and expanded pattern of the right mandible angle region.
5. Microscopic finding shows the mass consisting of many irregular cysts and surrounding hyperplastic tumor cells, spindle, reticular or phleomorphic mitotic, figure are infrequent.
6. The patient is premedicated with 0.4mg atropin sulfate for saliva control, 50mg of meperidin hydrochloride, 1, 000, 000 Unit of Procain Penicillin G, 2cc of Vitamin K and 5cc of ipsilon for bleeding control.
7. The patient is given a surgical operation under general anesthesia with ether and the surgical procedure is performed in the usal manner.
8. The tumor mass localizes from mandible left lateral incisor to right 2nd molar.
